| Kenny London
We met at Columbia University in 1970 and the laughing began. His actual name is
Ken Segall. But while he was a stand-up comic in the 70's, we called him London, and I
can't break the habit. For the past 30 years or so this Miami native has made Los Angeles
his home. Writing everything from ad copy to screenplays, he manages to keep busy. Miller
High Life or Vodka w/limeade keeps him happy.

| Mon, 6 Jul 1998 Groy Groy,
Just stewing in a heady brew of my own Cal-juices. Did the barbeques, ate the burgers
of life, went to the bars and drank the beers you hear so much about these days.
But now it's now, Jonny. It's never been now-er. It's the now-est. And then some. Let's
just say Hart had some kinda birthday last week which I missed but we're supposed to go
out drinking about it as recently as tomorrow. Fall by, the local Groylist. I know an
inner city saloon where all the bottles have your name on them. It ain't the 10, but it's
some other goddamn thing, entirely. You'll come, we'll hang, we'll achieve total
toastiness, you'll shplit. And won't that be fine.
Did the heck out of George and Ceel. Not to mention the Doctor. Turns out, and this
surprised even my ass, that Ceel's a hooked-up mob hitter. She's takin' guys out,
Gambino-style. She's like a young, spry Jimmy Caan, except without the vest.
Leggett, I'm putting a call into just as soon as I send this f-mail to you and yours.
Which is gonna be very soon, indeed.
Scruffy and bumpy,
Yo-himbe. |
