WIREDWIRED's been together for a decade. It's a kick-ass jammin' BLUES band. Marty Nelson plays guitar. Doug Perry plays bass. They both sing. Jon Margolis holds down the drumming duties. LONG LEGS a CD comprised of 11 WIRED originals was released in May 2003. The band's earth shattering live album recorded at the Saloon #10 in Deadwood in 1998 is also available (see below). Think back to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally you blurrily remember. Your trip to Deadwood to see where Wild Bill got shot. The 3-piece band burning it up. Yeah, that's WIRED.

WIRED is a blues trio from Deadwood, South Dakota. Theyve been wowing crowds there for years but this is their first recording. And it is appropriate that it was recorded live to capture the bands fire. One dozen blues classics are captured in the bands own style. Guitarist Marty Nelson and bassist Doug Perry live in Deadwood and Jon Margolis, the drummer, lives outside of nearby Rapid City. Margolis is a full time musician; Nelson is the poker manager at the Old Style Saloon #10 where this recording was made and Perry is a cabinetmaker. Deadwood is known worldwide as the mining community where 100 years ago people like Calamity Jane lived. In fact Wild Bill Hickok met his untimely demise at a poker table in the Old Style Saloon #10. Although today it is a small gambling community of less than 2000 people, Deadwood is not a town of backwater rubes. In the month leading up to this recording, some of the worlds most respected musicians performed live in downtown Deadwood. Among them: Johnny Winter, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dave Mason and Jim Capaldi, The Byrds, Corey Stevens, and Chubby Checker. Marty Nelson hung out personally with most of them and one listen to this CD will tell you that these boys were inspired. Theyre inspiring on their own for that matter. Get LIVE WIRED AT THE TEN today. Then crank it up and prepare to be transported.
